Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In a swift and coordinated operation, the Jadavpur Police successfully rescued 46-year-old Nitai Dey, who had been kidnapped from the premises of KPC Medical College & Hospital on October 16, 2024. The abductee, a resident of Madhyapara in Gangasagar Coastal, had been taken by unknown miscreants, prompting immediate action by the local police.
Upon receiving information about the abduction, Jadavpur Police sprang into action, utilizing technical assistance to track Dey's location. The investigation led the officers to Rasulpur, West Medinipur, where they identified a hotel—Roxi Hotel and Restaurants—as the site where the victim was being held.
A special police team was dispatched to Rasulpur, and with the cooperation of the Paschim Midnapore police, they were able to locate the abducted Nitai Dey. The rescue operation took place at the Roxi Hotel, where the police apprehended four individuals involved in the kidnapping.
The arrested individuals were identified as Tanmay Das, Sarathi Das Adhikari, Tushar Das Adhikari, and Himadri Roy. All of them are residents of Paschim Midnapore, where the abduction plot was carried out.
